Tuesday, 23 December, At Sea We lost an hour of sleep due to time change as we head east, but since we have nothing scheduled it isn't really a problem. We went to the bridge lecture after breakfast, though not many others were there. We still listened and learned and enjoyed talking to Gerald. We read the rest of the morning, had some lunch, and played bridge in the afternoon again. This time we came in 3rd of 7, an improvement and a surprise. Of course in duplicate bridge part of how you do depends on how others do, since the scores are in comparison to all of the others. After some ice cream (available from 3 to 430 daily) we changed clothes and Gail splashed in the pool while I did 2.5 miles on the track above the pool. There were enough waves moving the ship around that the pool really splashed like it was a "wave pool" at a water park. Dinner wasn't particularly wonderful, but the company was, as usual, great. We stayed up late watching one of Gail's favorite old movies, An Affair to Remember. Back to itinerary (trip home page)
