Tuesday, 30 December, At Sea This was our second sea day in a row, for which Gail was particularly thankful, since she was feeling worse. She started taking our reserve antibiotics right away, since she new that it was beyond just a cold. She slept through bridge class, which was a nice one on one with Gerald. After breakfast we went down to a lounge area where I could log on to the internet with wireless, to continue using my four hours of prepaid time while checking email. By then it was lunch time, so we just had a very light lunch before playing bridge again, this time ending up fourth out of eight. There have been five to eight tables, depending on the day. We read on our balcony, enjoying the sun and open sea. While we were out there, a thousand miles from land, we saw an albatross flying along with the ship. It dove and caught a fish and then left. Since Gail was feeling pretty bad, we didn't go to the dining room like usual, but just went up to the buffet. Actually, most of the food on the dinner buffet is the same as in the dining room, but doesn't have service or fancy presentations. Back to itinerary (trip home page)
