Friday, 30 January, Ka'anapali, Maui Another day of not doing a whole lot. We're gradually getting better, but still not ready to go to the beach or pool. There are red flag warnings on the beach, so even if we were feeling better Gail wouldn't be out snorkeling due to the waves and undertow. There were still quite a few people on the beach, but no one was out very deep at all. As on other recent days, we read our books and watched a variety of old movies on Turner Classic Movies and other interesting things on History Channel. Most important, we spent time on the balcony watching for whales. As usual, there were quite a few, and they're wonderful to see. This was the first day I felt good enough to spend money on an internet connection, so I clicked up for the $9.99 per 24 hours and started on pictures and text to these websites. After another take out supper from the grill beneath us, we watched Sweet Bird of Youth and went to bed early. Back to itinerary (trip home page)
