Sunday, 1 February, Ka'anapali, Maui Super Bowl Sunday was quite an event for us. Gail got a good night's sleep for the first time in a couple of weeks, in bed, and didn't have to sleep sitting up. The pre-game stuff had started at 400am (!!!) here, and the game was at 100pm. Before the game I went to get drugs and groceries and naturally found people 8 deep at all 10 registers at Safeway. All of us were saying "we should have come yesterday", but I got out in plenty of time before the game. During the game we also kept our eye out for whales, and also watched four kite surfers doing their spins and tricks on the waves. The game turned out to be classic, and until the end we had hopes that the Cardinals would pull it out, but no such luck. After the game we went out to the pool and hot tub for the first time in the week we've been here. We didn't do much in either one, but we did enjoy being outside in the water.
